Colonial Languages, based in Folkestone, is run by Sylvie Plested who is an experienced German teacher/tutor. Sylvie teaches many private students and is also a tutor for Adult Education in Kent and for the University of Kent, Canterbury.
Sylvie is a native German speaker with a sound knowledge of German culture as well as language.
Past Experience: Sylvie has run several GCSE classes with all students achieving A or A*. Some of these students started with Sylvie as total beginners and took their GCSE’s after only 2 to 3 years. She has also prepared individual students from schools in Folkstone and Dover with A results. Equally, she has prepared A-level students who went on to gain high results (A/B). One of her students is now a student of Birmingham university studying Economics and German.
